Mario Plush Universe: Episode 1: Kidnapped

Hello. I am iDuck, a YouTube user known to make very bad YouTube videos. Bad YouTube videos are exactly what I will be reviewing starting with this post. What are YouTube videos are bad you might ask? Only most of the millions which are uploaded every day to the world's biggest video sharing   website, sadly.  Bad YouTube videos are everywhere, and everyone is watching them every day.
There  are many, many ways videos can go wrong, in fact, too many to name. For some reason, people actually LIKE this trash. The videos I will be reviewing aren't funny or witty. They are indeed from the bottom of barrel, and have been hated by many due to the lack of effort that people put in to make these entertaining.
That's why I created this (nonprofit) blog. I'll be taking the risk of watching as much as I can of these stupid excuses for entertainment, so if you are sick of this garbage, than submit the worst videos you can find by linking them in the comments so we can save the world from this trash!
Today I will start by reviewing the first episode of Super Mario Bros. fan series Mario Plush Universe, unimaginatively named Kidnapped, which is blatantly ripped of from Machinima's already dreadful series Mario Plush Forever (I'll probably review that sometime in the future, but who cares). Also, strangely, they managed to TRADEMARK this crud without getting a lawsuit from Nintendo.
Anyway, let's start by reading the description.

The Description

The story follows Mario and Luigi as they return back to the Mushroom Kingdom to discover the mysterious new things that await them as they go on an epic journey to save Princess Peach from the evil, Bowser!
No offense or anything, but that's the plot of every Mario game ever made. At least MPF tried to be original with the storyline, even if the fart curse and everything was EXTREMELY ridiculous. Also 1 point is added in the Engrish counter I just made up for the unnecessary use of a comma.
Mario Plush Universe is easily one of the biggest budget plush effort of all time featuring high production value, special FX, and quality voice acting. Keep watching, and be sure to subscribe to STV MEDIA's YouTube Channel to see exclusive content, behind the scenes featurettes, and much much more!
Are you freaking kidding me? Let me tell you that this part is just a huge wall of blatant lies! First off, the budget seems to be lower than the budget for Ratatoing. Second, the "high" production value is lower than the production value of an episode of Power Rangers (and trust me, that show has very, VERY low production value). Third, let's just say a high school graphics student can create special effects than the ones in this video! Forth, the "quality" voice acting is easily comparable to the voice acting in Hotel Mario. This description is not even supposed to be sarcastic, and I will NEVER subscribe to you, STV Media! On the bright side, maybe STV stands for Sucky Television.
Now, let's look at this trainwreck video. Just follow along with the times indicated.

The Video

• 0:00 The plagiarism starts here, fellow YouTubers. Notice the obvious resemblance to the PipeDream Cinema logo (both logos are below).
• 0:05 They stole the into idea too! :(
• 0:24 iMovie sound effects FTW!
• 0:27 Game Over for shameless plagiarism!
• 0:30 "A basic picture of Brooklyn, New York from Google Images".
• 0:38 Yes, their apartments are also stolen from Google Images.
• 0:40 I hope you made LOTSA SPAGHETTI!
• 0:42 When they are playing video games, you'd think they'd play a Mario game, or any Nintendo game for that matter.
• 0:44 Nope. They are playing Call of Duty. WHAT!?!?!
• 0:47 Mario isn't even holding the XBox controller!
• 0:48 Why did Mario just say a curse word? You know what, let's start a count of out of character actions in this video alone. So far, we are not even a minute in and we already have 2 out of character moments (Mario playing the XBox and cursing).
• 0:49 Luigi: "It won't be long until Miyamoto gets mad at us for playing an M-rated game"!
• 0:58 Problem?

• 1:00 Out of Character Moment #3 (Mario curses again).
• 1:11 Out of Character Moment #4 (Domo has a voice even though he's not supposed to.)
• 1:18 Out of Character Moment #5 (Mario curses for the third time, which can be described with said curse word)
• 1:25 Out of Character Moment #6 (Mario curses here as well).
• 1:26 Puppeteer: Screw this, I quit! *throws Mario plushie*
• 1:28 For some reason, the "wall" mysteriously disappears. Oh yeah, it's just bad editing. This won't be last the time you'll see it.
• 1:30 Meanwhile, in Hell...
• 1:34 There's a "zoom in" effect in the camera from Super Mario 64 for a reason, you know.
• 1:39 Peach: MARIO! I'M BEING CHASED BY THIS BLACK THING ON THE SIDE OF... oh, never mind. It's again just bad special effects.
• 1:40 Peach has apparently hit puberty and eats at McDonalds everyday now. Or maybe it's just a bad plushie and a bad voice actor.
• 1:43 Thanks to bad voice acting, Toad has hit puberty too for some strange reason.
• 1:45 The backgrounds are so poorly edited, I wish I could unsee them!
• 1:52 But if you just have just flour, it wouldn't be cake. It would just be flour.
• 1:56 TOAD WHISTLES WHILE I PLAY UNFITTING MUSIC. No, seriously, what's with the unfitting background music?
• 2:05 Out of Character Moment #6 (Princess Peach liking the Twilight series. Need I say more?)
• 2:08 New Super Mario Bros. Wii music while I wait this video to get good! :D
• 2:10 Mario Plush Universe 2: Revenge of Google Images! Coming soon to a video near You(Tube).
• 2:13 Is that Simon from Alvin and the Chipmunks voicing Bowser Jr?
• 2:16 I'll be proud of you once you learn decent editing skills.
• 2:20 Oh no! The .jpg images are resizing in the castle!
• 2:25 Out of Character Moment #7 (Toad swears).
• 2:27 Quick! The .jpg images and default effects are attacking the door! In other words, that doesn't even look close to convincing!
• 2:29 The tint effects can't even keep up! Also, this Toad has an invisible vest for some reason!
• 2:34 A wild grey blob appears!
• 2:36 Only when the quality gets decent.
• 2:43 Reused voice clip!
• 2:44 You mean you couldn't layer actual video clips from Twilight there?
• 2:50 I'll tell you what's wrong with these people. They are wasting time making these poor excuses for entertainment for money (yes, they are getting paid for this).
• 2:53 You can obviously tell that's just a Bowser Jr. plush getting swayed while a .jpg image scrolls down in the background.
• 2:58 Ditto for that shot.
• 3:03 And that shot.
• 3:05 Oh no! Bowser Jr got replaced with stock art from New Super Mario. Bros.
• 3:06 I've never seen someone so exited while looking at a screenshot from Twilight.
• 3:07 I've never seen someone so exited to hold an image from Google Images, either.
• 3:09 Out of Character Moment #8 (Another Toad swears).
• 3:21 Let's steal a sound effect from the Mario games, for that matter.
• 3:27 To the .jpg-mobile!
• 3:28 And now we are in image-flipping hell.
• 3:32 Out of Character Moment #9 (Yet another Toad swears).
• 3:35 Time to make better videos?
• 3:37 That Toad has his eyes AND vest chroma-keyed out now!
• 3:40 Time to put on my MS Paint glasses...
• 3:42 ...which can float for some reason.
• 3:43 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
• 3:46 Did I mention how ugly these credits look?
• 3:51 At least now we know the real name of the people (yes, multiple people made this!) we should kill for wasting our time.
• 3:57 Catering by Conner Asher (STV)
• 4:10 Thanks again for wasting our time.

Top 5 Funniest Comments:

• "Wow Man Good Episode !!" -SuperRetardBrothers1
• "the koolaid was so funny!!" -mgllora11
• "LOL 3:08" -BowserLover92
• "WtF!?!?" -monkeypoo500
• "the toads are funny" -BowserLover92
And this concludes the first part (oh god) of this trash. Was the budget big? No. Was there much effort put into it? No. Was the production value high? No. Were the special effects good? No. Was the voice acting good. No. You know what, this might form my verdict!

Final Verdict

• Cheapness - Very high, entire budget seems to be blown on plush toys, video looks extremely cheap.
• Lack of Effort - This is the king of effortless YouTube videos.
• Production Value that's Worse than Power Rangers- Cliche plot and visuals from Google Images.
• Special Effects Failures- Bad green screening, all effects come straight out of Google Images, cheap.
• Disgraceful Voice Acting- Peach's voice automatically wins this award.
Overall Failure: 10/10
Video: Gets a 1/10 for cheapness, lack of effort, bad production value, and bad special effects.
Thanks for reading my review. Every other Sunday, a new episode of this is supposed to come out, and the next episode comes out tomorrow. See you tomorrow for my review on it!
